We are proud to announce that Tetley’s Coaches has joined the First Bus family, following our acquisition by FirstGroup – one of the UK’s leading and most trusted public transport operators.

This is a significant milestone in our 75+ year journey, and one we’ve entered into with great confidence and excitement. Most importantly, we want to reassure all of our valued customers, partners, and passengers that it’s absolutely business as usual.

We’ll still be operating from our Hunslet depot, and you’ll continue to see our familiar coaches out on the roads across West Yorkshire and beyond. With the backing of First Bus, we now have access to even more resources and support – helping us grow and improve, while staying true to the values that have earned your trust for over seven decades.

Our Managing Director, Ian Tetley, remains in place and will continue to help guide the business through this exciting new chapter. We’re also proud to continue our role in the wider coach industry, with Ian remaining Chair of the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) Yorkshire region.
